Légendes de Sibérie

Dans les mythes inuit, il était possible de voyager jusqu'à la lune. Cela arrivait quand l'astre descendait sur terre et emmenait un homme ou une femme sur le traîneau tiré par des chiens.
Certains groupes inuit pensaient que la lune avait une influence sur la fécondité et les déplacements des animaux. Si elle se fâchait contre un humain coupable d'avoir enfreint un  tabout, elle punissait les Inuit en éloignant les animaux. Les chamans lui  rendaient visite pour l'apaiser ou calmer sa colère.

*Rôle du chaman*
A la mort d'un être humain, ses 3 âmes se séparaient.
 L'une restait avec le corps, sur la terre des vivants et devenait un esprit ou un fantôme, une autre allait au ciel et finissait par rejoindre Pon, l'être suprême et la troisième s'acheminait vers la terre des ombres où elle devenait aussi une ombre...
